Azithromycin Injection is an intravenous (IV) formulation of Azithromycin, an antibiotic from the macrolide class. It is used to treat bacterial infections when oral administration is not feasible or in cases of severe diseases.
We are used to treat severe cases of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and other bacterial respiratory infections like bronchitis and sinusitis.
It is commonly used to treat PID, an infection of the female reproductive organs.
Used in treating certain sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea when severe or complicated.
It may also be used in cases of typhoid fever and for certain infections in people who are allergic to penicillin.
